The “Cabrales Cheese” Protected Designation of Origin since 1981.

The production area where this fabolous product is made includes the Council of Cabrales and some towns in the Council of Peñamellera Alta, both in Asturias. The milk used for its production is obtained exclusively from the herds of cows, sheep and goats registered in the Protected Designation of Origin.
